Arnie Wexler is a Certified Compulsive Gambling Counselor (CCGC), and was the Executive Director of the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey for eight years.

Arnie is one of the foremost experts on compulsive gambling in this country, and has been involved in helping compulsive gamblers for over 30 years. He has appeared on many of America’s top television shows, including Oprah, NightLine, and 48 Hours. He has been quoted and profiled in hundreds of magazines and newspapers.

Meet our Editor-In-Chief, Nicola O'Hanlon. She created this website, along with the help of the InTheRooms team in September 2015. Her work has been published in several recovery magazines, including Recovery Today, In Recovery Magazine, AfterPartyChat.com, Psychology Today and Reach Out Recovery to name but a few.   1. I have known Arnie for many years now and he just celebrated 50 years recovery away from “The Bet!!” and I call him my Grand Dad of gambling addiction recovery! He continues to advocate, speak out, and help many from this devastating disease. Well done Arnie and keep us all out here moving FORWARD xoxo
